8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act.

8.1 Categories of Personal Information We Collect

Within the last twelve months we have collected the following categories of personal information about California consumers:

8.2 Sensitive Personal Information

We collect account credentials (email address combined with password). We use this information solely to authenticate you and secure your account. We do not use, disclose, or process this information for any purpose other than providing and securing the Service. Under CCPA, you have the right to limit our use of sensitive personal information; given that we already limit such use to authentication and security, no additional action is necessary, but you may contact us if you have questions.

8.3 Sources

We collect personal information directly from you, automatically as you use the Service, and from our service providers (Apple and Stripe) when subscriptions are processed.

8.4 Purposes

As described in Section 3.

8.5 Sale or Sharing

We do not sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration. We do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8.6 Your California Rights

8.7 How to Exercise Your Rights

Email legal@synthesize360.com. We will verify your identity by confirming you control the email address associated with your account, then respond within 30 days. You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf; we may require written proof of authorization.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at legal@synthesize360.com.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The web application uses two cookies: a strictly-necessary session cookie that keeps you signed in, configured to be sent only over HTTPS, to be inaccessible to JavaScript, and to follow a same-site (Lax) policy; and a theme-preference cookie that remembers your light or dark display setting. We do not use any tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. Two pages load a provider's script: the checkout pages load Stripe's payment script, which may set Stripe's own cookies to prevent fraud, and the signup page runs Cloudflare's bot check. Each is governed by that provider's privacy policy (see Section 4.1).

The web application also uses browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) for display preferences only: your theme setting, the table columns you choose to show on each device, and whether you dismissed a one-time notice on small screens. This storage is not used to track or identify you.

The mobile applications store an authentication token in iOS Keychain (iOS) or Android Keystore (Android). We do not use Apple's IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers), do not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt, and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

We do not show a cookie consent banner because we do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies or similar tracking technologies. The cookies and storage described above only keep you signed in, remember display choices, and, on the checkout and signup pages, protect against fraud and automated abuse.

11. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure. We will notify you of a security incident affecting your information in the manner and timeframe required by applicable law.

12. Service Location and International Users

The Service is operated from the United States and is intended only for users located in the United States. Data is processed and stored on infrastructure located in the United States. We do not target the Service to, and do not knowingly accept users from, jurisdictions outside the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please do not use the Service.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and by prominent notice within the Service before the changes take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy reflects when the policy was most recently revised. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
